THE MILAGRO CENTER AND SOLITA ITALIAN RESTAURANT & THE PARLOR LOUNGE PARTNER UP FOR “MIRACLES & MEATBALLS” TO TAKE PLACE ON WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 19th Delray Beach, FL –The Milagro Center and SoLita Italian Restaurant & The Parlor Lounge partner up for “Miracles and Meatballs” to take place on Wednesday, September 19th at SoLita Italian Restaurant & The Parlor Lounge in Delray Beach. This “Thank You” celebration will honor the Milagro Center’s volunteers, mentors, donors and community stakeholders who have helped support the non-profit’s afterschool care and summer camp, cultural arts, academics, Living Values and mentoring programs to local at-risk children and youth living at or below the federal poverty level. The Milagro Center will be honoring its Business of the Year, AutoNation, Inc., Community Partners of the Year, Pediatric Associates and Art Works 4 Food, by awarding them with the Milagro STAR plaque. “We truly appreciate SoLita’s commitment to the Milagro Center by partnering with us on our important annual event,” said Milagro Center Executive Director Gina Genovese. “As the saying goes, ‘It takes a village to raise a child and right now we are so very proud of the support from our Delray Beach village!” Guests will indulge in SoLita cocktails and delicious hors d'oeuvres, made especially for this event. SoLita’s owner Steven Dapuzzo said, “We recognize the wonderful work that the Milagro Center does for our community’s children and their families. Hosting this celebration is just one way for us to show how much we appreciate the important contribution Milagro Center and its supporters are making to the future of Delray Beach.” Guests are invited to stay after the event for dinner at the restaurant and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Milagro Center. As a special treat, Chef Anthony “Radar” Risoli of SoLita Italian Restaurant & The Parlor Lounge, recently visited the Milagro Center and spoke to the children about his career as a head chef. After a fun-filled Q&A session, Chef Radar participated in a photo shoot with the children. The photos will be on display and available for purchase at the event. “The Milagro Center’s children blew me away,” said Chef Risoli after the photo shoot. “They are amazing, inquisitive and truly miraculous kids. Kudos to the Milagro Center for building such wonderful self-confidence in these young children.” At least 125 guests are expected to attend “Miracles & Meatballs” at SoLita Italian Restaurant & The Parlor Lounge on September 19th. Although there is no cost to attend, the Milagro Center is asking for a voluntary donation of $10 per person. Anyone who is interested in learning more about the Milagro Center’s mission or becoming a volunteer or mentor is encouraged to attend.
